Security is about protecting your environment from threats. Governance is about how information and access are managed and structured over time — including compliance, data retention, and who gets access to what as your organization changes.

Do we need this if we already have a firewall and antivirus?

Yes. Firewalls and antivirus protect your network and devices, but Microsoft 365 and Azure have their own separate layer of security settings that traditional network tools don’t touch.

Can you secure our environment without disrupting daily operations?

Yes. Changes are typically rolled out in phases and tested carefully.

What happens if we’re already using Copilot without this in place?

We can review your existing Copilot deployment for governance gaps and address them — in most cases without removing or pausing the tool.

How often should Microsoft security settings be reviewed?

An annual review is a reasonable minimum, though organizations in regulated industries or growing quickly often benefit from more frequent check-ins.

Does this include employee security training?
