Enterprise resource planning is the system of record for how the business runs: the general ledger, purchasing, inventory, projects, and the reporting built on top of all of it. For small and mid-sized organizations this is Dynamics 365 Business Central. The defining idea is that a number is entered once and everything else reads from it, rather than the same figure living in an accounting package, a spreadsheet, and someone's inbox.
SOURCEPASS ERP
ERP Shaped Around How Your Business Actually Runs
Sourcepass ERP implements, optimizes, and supports Microsoft Dynamics 365. Every engagement starts with how your business works today — the configuration follows from there.
When the accounting system stops keeping up
Most growing businesses start with accounting software that does exactly what they need. It tracks the money, it produces the reports, and for years it works.
Then the business outgrows it. Orders live in one system and inventory in another. The numbers agree only after someone spends a day reconciling them. Month-end close stretches into a week. The report that would answer a real question takes so long to build that people stop asking.
ERP is the answer, and ERP projects have a reputation. Long, expensive, and finishing with a system that matches the vendor's demo rather than the way the business works. The workarounds that existed in the old system get rebuilt in the new one, and nobody can quite say what improved.
Sourcepass ERP starts somewhere else. We map how your business runs before anything is configured, then build Dynamics 365 around what we find. Your team should recognize the system on the first day they use it.
What is Dynamics 365?
Dynamics 365 is Microsoft's family of business applications. It covers the two systems most organizations run separately — the one that handles money and operations, and the one that handles customers — and puts them on a single platform.
Dynamics 365 is modular. Most organizations start with the finance and operations core and add from there as the business needs it, which keeps the first project to a size that can actually be finished.

-
Pipeline, accounts, quotes, cases, and service history. Because it sits on the same platform, it references the same customer record the finance system uses.
-
Accounting software records what happened to the money. It does that well, and for a lot of businesses it is enough for a long time. ERP connects the money to everything that produced it — the order, the stock it drew down, the customer it belongs to, the project it bills against — so the numbers come from one place instead of being reconciled between several at the end of every month.
-
A quote becomes an order and then an invoice without anyone re-keying it. A customer record shows the open opportunity and the unpaid invoice on the same screen. Stock levels reflect what has actually been committed rather than what was counted last week. Month-end close stops being an archaeology project.
Running Dynamics GP or Dynamics SL?
Microsoft has published end dates for both. Dynamics GP support, product enhancements, and regulatory updates end on December 31, 2029, with security updates available until April 30, 2031. Dynamics SL extended support ends in July 2028.
Sourcepass ERP supports both products today and handles the move to Business Central when you are ready.
